Getting started takes three steps. First, register your company on the admin portal at portal.niftie.app. Second, set up your company settings (details like your logo, Terms & Conditions link, cancellation policy and VAT settings). Third, invite your team and customers so they can access the mobile app. You get a 30-day free trial with full access, no payment details required. For more information check our User Guide page.
No. You can register your company and use Niftie for the full 30-day trial without entering any payment or card details.
Company registration happens on the web portal at portal.niftie.app, not in the mobile app. This is also where you'll manage your team, customers, jobs and settings going forward.
To register, you just need some general information such as your name, email, phone number and company name. Everything else — your company logo, Terms & Conditions link, cancellation policy and VAT settings — is added afterwards from the portal and is optional, except for VAT settings, which are required.
From the portal, create a profile for each cleaner/staff member and customer with their basic details, such as name and email, address. Once you save their profile, an invitation email is sent to them automatically (including your company logo and Terms & Conditions link), prompting them to download the mobile app and start using their account.
No. The web portal at portal.niftie.app is for admins only. Your team (cleaners/staff) and your customers should use the mobile app exclusively.
The Niftie app is available on both iOS and Android.
Yes, and it's actually recommended. Admins can use the mobile app to view the full schedule and receive real-time push notifications for things like new job requests, cancellations and other job changes, so it's a great way to stay on top of what's happening. Creating new jobs and assigning cleaners, however, can only be done through the web portal, not the mobile app.
No, it's not required. That said, we'd recommend it for both. For cleaners, the app is the easiest way to see their schedule at a glance and stay updated on any changes. For customers, it's optional but recommended too — it lets them view their upcoming bookings and make amendments (like rescheduling or cancelling) without needing to contact you directly.
Niftie is an all-in-one booking, scheduling and staff management platform for service businesses, built especially for cleaning companies. It combines a powerful admin portal with a mobile app for your team and customers, so you can manage bookings, staff and day-to-day operations from one connected system.
Yes. Admins can use the mobile app to view the full schedule and receive real-time push notifications for things like new job requests, cancellations and other job changes. However, creating new jobs and assigning cleaners can only be done through the web portal, not the mobile app.
Cleaners can view their schedule, job notes, property details, entry instructions and maps. They can also request holiday and submit availability/unavailability requests directly from the app.
Customers can request jobs directly, manage their property details, and cancel jobs — all from the mobile app.
Niftie can be used by different types of service businesses, but it's primarily built with cleaning companies in mind — the features around job scheduling, cleaner holiday tracking and cancellation policies are tailored to that use case.
Niftie proactively alerts admins two days in advance if a job hasn't yet been assigned to a member of staff, so you're never caught short on the day.
No. Niftie prevents cleaners from being booked onto overlapping jobs or conflicting time slots.
When you register your company, you set a cancellation charge window (in hours) — this determines how far in advance a customer needs to cancel a job to avoid being charged. Customers see a charge alert in the app if they try to cancel within that window.
Yes. In the invoice settings tab of the portal, you can link your account to Xero. Once connected, an invoice is automatically generated whenever a job's end time passes, as the system assumes the job has been completed successfully.
When adding a cleaner in the portal, you choose whether they are employed or self-employed. This affects how their holiday and pay are tracked in the system.
If a cleaner is marked as employed, you can set their paid holiday allowance (in days). This caps the total number of holiday days they're able to request through the app.
Yes. Paid holiday days taken by employed cleaners are included in the wages reporting, so they're accounted for alongside worked hours.
Niftie includes built-in reports covering revenue, cleaner hours, wages (including paid holiday) and overall performance, giving you visibility over your operations without manual tracking.
Niftie offers four standard plans based on the number of cleaners on your team: Solo — £29.99/month, up to 1 cleaner, Starter — £79/month, up to 10 cleaners, Growth — £129/month, up to 20 cleaners, Scale — £199/month, up to 30 cleaners. Larger teams can get a fully customised Enterprise plan, tailored to your business — a white-label option is also available on Enterprise.
This depends mainly on the size of your team — each plan has a set cleaner limit, so choose the plan that covers your current (or soon-to-be) number of cleaners. You can always move to a higher plan as your team grows.
You'll need an Enterprise plan. These are fully customised per customer, so get in touch and we'll put together a plan that fits your business.
Your data is kept safe in case you decide to continue with Niftie later, unless you specifically request for it to be deleted. In the future, accounts that stay inactive for a long period may be deleted, but this isn't currently in place.
